Adventure to Seek Jan. 20

 To Christ People:

        When Jesus told his disciples to seek first the kingdom, he referred to the life-changing kingdom guidelines as in Matthew 5. Start by understanding what it means to become spiritually enriched by being poor in spirit, by accepting God’s will about everything. Stay with that one, if needed, until more insight occurs, then you can move to being one who mourns for the world. You will see that all nine of the principles interlock, like links in a chain. Walk through the nine principles as often as you can. Choose to live them in your everyday events. Understanding these kingdom journeys gives you more strength and helps you stay aware by  keeping you fully informed concerning kingdom servanthood.

 

Prayer: Lord, we submit to you and want to know how to serve you in every opportunity through any given day.

What is Character ? Jan. 19

 

The Spirit whispered:

        Remember, because you are an important part of creation, actually made in the image of God, nothing in the world is more precious than a human. Art is not greater than a human. Money is not greater. Clever literature can never rise above human personality. Heavenly Father presents you with the highest element for the highest revelation. In His only Son he says, “I, your Lord, come and go that you might have life.

    If you want to leave a true legacy, leave behind a clear interpretation of your life as an imprint of the best value-living, Christ-centered character.

Prayer: Lord, thank you for reminding me what’s important and let me leave behind a God-inspired life.

Prayer Effectiveness Jan. 18

 

Holy Spirit says remember:

        The moment you see a wrong or if someone behaves wrongly toward you, this sets up your cue to pray for that situation. I will help you be aware that which needs prayer, even when you are not paying close attention. My Spirit can and will join with your spirit continually.

Prayer: Lord, thank you for your abundant willingness to fill in the gap when we don’ t pay attention.

 

True Freedom Jan. 17

 

Holy Spirit remarked:

        When heavenly Father created the first human, He limited himself and allowed a seed of his free will to enter the dirt that became Adam, and by extension Eve. True-life essence of every person contains this basic freedom: to choose its own way. The Father knew allowing free will into humanity was costly. It is not unlike when people decide to give birth to a child; they are never totally certain what their child will be. Of course, the Father knew and birthed Adam and Eve and sure enough, His heart was broken. Nothing but a special love could have done this. The act of creation  demonstrates the opportunity of a special relationship; a point of connection the Savior has for you. A bridging happens so that together the joys and heartaches often flow together. The freedom-choice always remains yours.

Prayer: Thank you, Lord, for caring so deeply for us, even when we abuse our given freedom.

 

Another Mystery Jan. 16

 

Holy Spirit said "Faith it"

        Those that accept Jesus are already in heavenly Father’s kingdom and are guided by kingdom principles. The action creates mystery because God’s time-quality of omnipotence intersects earth time in an unusual way. Because every human is made in the image of God, this image is one entryway for the kingdom of Heavenly Father and Holy Spirit to enter. But a willingness must occur for the connection. Since Jesus came, God’s kingdom is available to everyone, but not everyone is in the kingdom. Those not in the kingdom are frustrated because they go against heavenly guidelines. It's like they go to a side direction, instead of straight ahead. When Jesus said I am the Way, the Truth, the Light, the Door, he is referring to the opportunities for the fuller entryways into the kingdom. While the kingdom is available to everyone, each must choose to enter by Jesus, who provides the way.

Prayer: Lord, thank you for entering our hearts and giving us your words to see that You will help others see the truth and help people recognize kingdom principles.

 

Planning Jan. 15

 

 Heavenly Spirit said:

        Too much planning is not necessary. Trust in My closeness and even the random work. I am the Lord of your life. Heavenly Father has created a moral universe. Every guide, law, principle is in place. You do not have to create laws to live well in the universe. Simply discover mine, like choosing good health, live heavenly kingdom values, a moral law, promote balance as taught in scripture. Behave as I have instructed you and let Me plan for your harmony in the present and future. I am your protector and will grow your moral intelligence. What evil persons, those out of harmony, may do to you, I can shield or eventually undo. Endeavor to think of Me throughout the day. I am always here.

 

Prayer: Lord, keep us aware of the moral, heavenly laws behind every one of your laws on earth.

Relax. . .but Jan. 14

 

The Holy spirit reminded:

   Stay alert and measure the worth of all you spend on your timeline. The things worth living for: Are they worth dying for? Heavenly Father’s peace  does pass all understanding and is yours from now on. However, if you allow fear, doubt, or worry of this world to creep in, then the peace and harmony of the Kingdom principles are interrupted. Instead, each difficulty remains an opportunity to exercise your eternal peace. I, the Lord, am with you.

 

 Prayer: Lord, help me practice a true rest in you, just as I form any other good habit.

Thankfulness Jan. 13

 

Holy Spirit reminded:

        When negative issues or complications come into your everyday life, use praising and thanking heavenly Father to remove them. Praise is sustained by awe and wonder to increase faith. Remember, when Jesus said you could remove mountains with the right faith. The sure method for this is to offer praise and honor to the heavenly Father. Whether literal mountains or mountains of struggle, keep saying “thank you” for the blessings you already have. This allows room for the Holy Spirit to promote the generous heart of heavenly Father and overcome any negative energy.

Prayer: Lord, help me to continue an attitude of praise, even when my emotions are mixed. Thank you.

Timing Jan. 12

 

Holy Spirit reviewed:

        The time will come when your trust needs patience and longer waiting. In this, you are to be calm, be still, and listen to My voice, My impression of heavenly Father’s will. The answers will come but in the form of your faithful endurance while I work out details you may be unaware. Later, there will come another trusting. When you are certain your spirit agrees with My Spirit, then the time is right to claim resources in My Name. You may command it so but not demand it, but say with assurance, “let it be done.”  You are My joint heir and through Me, have access to all the riches of the kingdom and of this earth as well.

 

Prayer: Lord, if I can love my neighbor like you do, move me to that reassurance in your will, that I can ask anything in your name. 

Anger Jan. 11

 

Holy Spirit reminded:

        I, the Lord, do not get angry with you like you experience anger. I can have a kind of disappointment in your behavior, but the anger you tend to know is nothing more than hostile fear, a negative human emotion. In your soul, when fear gets tired, it turns hostile, turning first outward for survival, then reversing to turn inward. Anger in you fights against the peace I’ve given. That is why I said in the Bible, 1John 4:18, that perfect love casts out fear. Accept My Love and trade your weaker emotion of anger for the better emotion of love and strong peace. Much more energy and power live in peace than in fear. Remember, fear tends to drain your faith energy. Weakening your faith, lessens your true survival in Christlikeness.

Prayer: Oh Lord, help us today with your shield of faith because anger creeps in on us so secretly we often miss it.

Action Jan. 10

 

And the Spirit said:

        You ask: “How am I to live each day to grow the kingdom of heavenly Father?”  You do not have to look far.  Stay alert to meet some need of any who cross your path. Any person might become your neighbor. Any act you show kindness, mercy, helpfulness, good-cheer, polite participation, or a caring response. These can be a testimony of My goodness in the world.  Meet diversity with those ingredients to help chisel and mold your own character for the kingdom of heavenly Father.

 

Prayer: Lord, help me pay attention to one specific opportunity I meet today to complete a Christ-like action.

 

Method Jan. 9

 

Holy Spirit whispered:

        When you feel that I am questioning or criticizing you, know I am not always inquiring about only what you think is important. Review the circumstances as well. I may be leading you to stop and reconsider some method, after your thinking process. Your confusion or tension may be because you have not first rested in Me, to hear the method or strategy of heavenly Father.  Reread Isaiah 30:15, “In repentance and rest is your salvation...” Let not your heart be too troubled. As you trust in the Son of God, know the Holy Spirit is there to guide you.

Prayer: Lord, help me stay teachable through any challenge.

Small Prayers Jan. 8

 And The Spirit said:

        Do not wait for the large issues of life to pray. Every morning say, “Unto the Lord, thank you!” Pray every day with things that seem small. Not only pray for food but pray while washing dishes. Pray for those who need traveling mercies, who need to sell a house, who need guidance in school, who have changes in their jobs, who got a speeding ticket, who just need forgiveness. Nothing is too small because Jesus is interested in all life events. Prayer actions are opportunities for heavenly principles to grow in someone. You may not know who or how, but your prayer can hold like a well-placed cement column, holding up part of the bridge. All things DO work together because heavenly Father makes the right connections.

 

Prayer: Oh Lord, keep me strong to remain a standing bridge for you, even when I do not understand the bad stuff.

When You Wonder Jan. 7

 

Holy Spirit said:

        You do not serve a reluctant heavenly Father who holds back from his child because he’s not sure you deserve something you have asked for. You may experience delay because of unseen connections.  For instance, think like when you impatiently wait on an airplane to arrive at a terminal. You may experience a delay because others on a different flight schedule needed the resources of the airline.  Eventually, all the connected travelers that day reach their destination. Heavenly Father  has everything worked together on his schedule, and since He is outside of your earthly time, you may feel impatient and inconvenienced.  That’s the time to pay attention.  When you must wait. . . stop, and reflect upon His promised word, then look for any divine connections. Also, as you wait—--bring earthly word to Me.

 

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I do want to travel the right way with you and you with me.

Harmony Jan. 6

 

And Jesus whispered:

        One reason I came to earth was to help redefine and move you from darkness into Light. In the kingdom of light there is no disharmony. Harmony in the kingdom of light is similar to music harmony, perfect blending of words, perfect pitch, perfect tone, perfect vibration, creating a satisfaction of the reality of music. In the kingdom, perfect love and justice, perfect service and power harmonize to satisfy.  Strong earthly judgments are not enough to evaluate My harmonious kingdom, so if you lack a sense of balance, you are off-track from the kingdom principles. Seek the treasured guides of scripture from Mt. 5-6 to find harmony.

 

Prayer: Lord, help me hear; I am openly seeking the music of your kingdom today.

What is Grace? Jan. 5

 

And God said:

        You grow in a human, natural way and that results in necessary maturing qualities. However spiritually, you mature in a different way. Your greatest growth comes when you respond to heavenly Father’s Grace that distributes faith liberally. This faith helps you become a channel for other works. His grace is so full, if you had started something important and you died before you could finish it, He would give you full credit as if you had finished. Grace allows the seed and the soil to count as much as the flower.

Prayer: Lord, help me plant seed and grow for you every chance I get.

Potential Jan. 4

 

Holy Spirit taught:

        Arrogance encourages human pride. Arrogance feeds self-centeredness. Self-centeredness tends to hide subtle loneliness. Loneliness gives birth to sadness and despair. This continuous downward cycle is based upon the misguided idea that all potential is only found in the individual self.  Instead, look to a Savior, Jesus. His joining remains infinitely stronger than human pride trying to uphold the Self.

Prayer: Lord, thank you for the plus quality of the Holy Spirit.

 

The Future Jan. 3

 

Holy Spirit whispered:

        Spending too much time trying to anticipate the future tends to confuse the energy of faith. Instead, look to the everyday adventure with Me as your Christ-centered partner. You can be the seeker. Pay close attention to scripture. Let scripture read you. Feel the words, like the feeling when you sing something. Be assured the Holy Spirit hums with you now as your partner.  Fellowship and meditation assures the present. Each day, one at a time, matters. Each day can be new.

Prayer: Lord, I know you are here. Help me feel your newness of the day.

 

Take the Slam Jan. 2

 

            The Holy Spirit said:                                   

        Matthew's Gospel says, “Blessed are the peacemakers.” What does it mean? You will prosper more in spirit when you can show the love of the Father and absorb the anger of others. Instead of reacting with your own anger, demonstrate the power of peace. Help others see how to fight their own anger/fear, by choosing My new love energy. Then their peace can be the result of my Spirit replacing self-will. 

.

Prayer: Lord, help me know how to take in another’s anger with the peace that comes from your Spirit.

Forgiveness Jan. 1

 

Holy Spirit Reminded:

        Any of you who follow Christ struggle with forgiveness because the self gets in the way. But because the heavenly Father forgives , you need to learn to forgive. Jesus does not ask you to forgive another’s behavior. When you start to dwell upon the actions and hurts of others have caused you, pride steps in. You will feel injustice and become angry and critical. This will not allow forgiveness. So, God asks you to avoid any false pride that does not forgive and replace it with His Son. Then, forgive the essence of others. They began like you, made in the image of the Father. So forgive them for seeing evil as so attractive. Forgive them for not knowing. Forgive because Christ forgives. Let the true Savior judge their behavior. Your task is to learn to love them and their potential, what they can become.

 

Prayer: Lord, help me to begin this New Year with the kind of forgiving attitude that most honors you.
