Service Measure Aug.15

 

            The true God Jehovah did not promise every act of service would be pleasant but would be more like a planted seed that does not necessarily experience pleasure when the unseen energy expands its growth. After a struggle of time and growth, any pleasure happens as a fruit result. You may need to behave and grow like the seed planted. Life doings may take time to grow and show the life God intends. Even after you produce any personal fruit, you are not to hoard the fruit. You must not stash the results but share completely all that remains yours to give.

            Prayer: Lord Jesus. Remind us to be generous with everything we have, including our inborn character, any emotion, or opportunity.  

 

Lasting Foundation Aug.14

 

            Jesus is He who was sent from above, what we call heaven. Look at his words and look at his life work, and you will see no confusion, no contradiction. All things come together in Him. You can fully trust he will do what is best for you, although you may not see it now. He is Jesus, the one born on earth, the name above every name. He gave us the Eternal’s name: Yahweh Abba Father, the everlasting foundation of all.

            Prayer: Lord, help us be aware, you continue with us as we search scripture for your reality.

 

Personal Existence Aug.13

 

            Being made in heavenly Father’s image, your human personality vibrates as the highest order of any physical being or any heavenly being, like angels on earth. Jesus is also human with you, but He is much more than personality. He put in motion his eternal universal way. He IS that Way, a way of serving, giving, everlasting togetherness.

            Prayer: Lord, help me recognize you show the true Path for any life situation.

Mystery Aug.12

 

            Mystery does not mean God grudgingly or reluctantly withholds knowledge or understanding from us. Mystery simply means sometimes more knowledge exists than we can understand at present. You may not know how gravity works, but we accept it every day. Don’t try to take the bite out of scripture you may not understand. Instead, embrace the mystery by faith. Just have faith in the right person. Just realize you may not know now, leave the unanswered questions to heavenly Father and move on. You can know later. For now, God’s Grace is sufficient.

            Prayer: Thank you, Lord, that you created mystery as a way to increase our trust. Help us have faith to let the unknown change our trust into the challenge for growing faith.

 

Falsehood Aug.11

 

            Although the disguised lies of commercials [this product will help you live longer because it feeds your body system], these temptations to buy look good; if those promises were really the right paths for you, they would feed you. But when you follow their covered deceit, they bleed you.

            Prayer: Lord, help me remember that no matter how attractive false truths may appear, they still hide your actual truth.

Your Pace Aug.10

 

            Because you follow Jesus and look to scripture, you live not only in worldly time, but already in God’s eternal significance. You may choose His peace and a restful attitude in all the activities of any given day. You may not always see or understand His divine operations. But His way leads to peace that makes any better become the best! Choose the resting pace of peace.

            Prayer: Lord, help me take a deep breath, relax and remember you are still in charge of all my activities, especially with others.

Other-Centered Aug.9

 

            The Sermon on the Mount [Mt.5-6] directions need to overtake any sermon of the consumer-shopping motivation. Too much getting and collecting becomes self-centered. You only need to keep and use what is necessary and especially give toward what enhances God’s Kingdom. Adopt a full-time gift lifestyle. Discontinue collecting, avoid the hoarding tendency that falsifies longer living, work out ways to give things away and not expect any return. Freedom gives more than it takes!

            Prayer: Lord, remind me to behave today in any way that will keep me other-centered rather than self-motivated.

Tech Knowledge Aug.8

 

            One big purpose of technology, whether cell phones, computers, drones, medicine, cloning, transportation, electronic gadgets that claim to define life, imply you can make life predictable and therefore feel more self-comfortable. Some benefit comes from that. However, the kind of life Jehovah gives… always allows the mystery of faith. When you label some invented instrument, like a computer, and expect it to solve all problems, faith-quality is at risk to be watered down. When relying on a label to give the only solution, you approach the temptation to take the mystery out of your faith, and yet, mystery creates an energy that keeps you searching, learning, and pursuing personal growth. Allow mystery----'the I don’t know enough about life’. You will never know enough about any one thing before you reach heaven’s gate.

            Prayer: Lord, help me keep the mystery of your creation, along with any specific knowledge gained from your kingdom.

 

About Work Aug.7

 

                In the Bible, Solomon, in all his glory, concluded, the best thing a person can become in life demonstrates itself as being happy in your work. But the Holy Spirit offers more. Work is more than a job. Specific work is often a time and place to define what interacts with your personal life, intermixed with your growth experiences. How you respond to your work becomes a proving ground for character growth, the interaction with things and people. The Holy Spirit wants to direct all your works. Stay alert to combine your work experience, whether at home or away from home, with spiritual principles that come from God’s word. Pay attention! You can learn to listen someone into better health.

                Prayer: Lord, help me be good news in all my work. . . and spread affirmation rather than bad news.

A Reminder Aug.6

 

                At the beginning of each day embrace and repeat the name of Jesus of Nazareth. Sing the word. . . Jesus…Jesus…Jesus, greatest name I know! Feel the difference between how you feel when you sing a word and how you just say the word. Words [especially Jesus] that turn to praise, honor heavenly Father.

                Prayer: Lord, I do praise your name: Jesus!!

 

Hard Occasions Aug.5

                If Jehovah seems to you to allow some kind of grief, then he will also respond with compassion according to His abundant loving-kindness. For this reason, catastrophe does not come without some larger purpose. You cannot see the whole picture. He is working all connections at once. Any sorrow of His sons and daughters stays only for a season to balance some kind of justice or mercy in the universe. To you who seek the Christ-way, know that the Lord, does pay attention to those who wait on His will. Be as silent as you can, listen, and wait with your decisions. He will not reject forever.

                Prayer: Lord, I know I do not fully understand all you plan but I want to fully lean on your Spirit guidance for all things.

What Prayer?? Aug.4

 

                Conversation with God is not some leisure-time activity, like some occasional remembrance. Prayer is much more than habit or ritual. It is energy like vitamins are to the body. Prayer can absorb so many parts of you that it wells up from within when you might least expect it. Practice by making conscious effort to pray, something like “Heavenly Father, thank you and help me see everything that can remind me to pray. Help me know Christ in all His purposes and to love those more than I love my own desires.” Repeat the prayer three times a day and soon, prayer will become deeply buried and imprinted on your soul. It will rise again when needed.

                Prayer: Father, help me know your voice and your impressions in my prayer life.

Why Patience? Aug 3

                Why is patience [for Jesus followers] so important?  Image this example. . . When you die, you will given a new name, a new song, and a new crown-position of perspective. What if you get to tell all in heaven your experiences [without sin mishaps] in clear story form? You may get to tell every angel, every individual being your story throughout eternity, every detail about serving and honoring Christ. You will do this from the right perspective then. It would take an eternity of patience to share with every being, especially as you listened to others who shared to you as well. Think of learning patience, here on earth, as some kind of preparation for that time.  Also, your patience can motivate the meek on this earth, and the meek are blessed. Remember, you can trust the truly meek because they do inherit the earth.

                Prayer: Lord, teach me the heavenly patience to really hear you as we interact with others.

The Material Aug.1

                In all practical ways, you cannot live beyond the material nor can you, in good conscience, just live within the material. Your task is to learn to live through the material for something beyond, like how to use material prosperity to combine with God’s spiritual prosperity. Behind every material action vibrates a spiritual idea. A loaning of a tool or baking a cake to give to an unworthy neighbor can become an act of spiritual giving and material act when given with the motivation of Christlike attitude. Whatever Yahweh has created is set up on earth and can be assured in heaven. Think long upon this.

                Prayer: Thank you, Lord, for reminding us that the right spiritual life should motivate our true direction in every action on earth.

Personal Bond July 31

 

As followers of the Jesus Way, we are linked together and He bears the entire journey with us. Think what Jesus said: “Take My yoke upon you” does not  mean you should just withstand some burden. HE SEES AND UNDERSTANDS EVERY BETTER PATH.         If you float on the water, He is there. If you climb a mountain, He is there. If you fly in the air, He is there. If you order groceries online, He is there. He joins everywhere and everywhen with you. He IS your constant partner.

Prayer: “Abba Lord, thank you for providing your trustworthy eternal connection.  I submit. . . hold my hand and make any connections I need.”

Life Twists July 30

 

Spiritually prosperous. . . are you. . . when you enjoy salvation and favor with Jehovah God the Father through Jesus of Nazareth. But sometimes when you misunderstand or are misunderstood, if you miss an important point in life, you are simply on the verge of some new insight or wisdom. Opportunity will come around again. You may experience some advancement in your growth, that may be prosperous or painful. Keep exercising your faith with any of what might be spiritual Kingdom-growth functioning today.

Prayer: Lord, help me today keep aware and accept any growth in You.

Human Three in One June 29

 

                When scripture said you must love the Lord with all your heart- soul-mind, you must understand each as an avenue for a potential strength of the other. The heart stands for emotion and all hidden undercurrents that feelings embrace in personal life. The soul refers to the self, that willful decision-maker, the part that can give or take. The mind has to do with your insight and any perspective that leads to understanding and moral intelligence. Combining them shows your true essence, your spirit, who you essentially are, like no other. All become significant when entering your spiritual travels and your ultimate spiritual existence, even heaven.

          Prayer: Dear Lord, help me understand the short and long-term implication of every part of my being for now and later.

Think About IT! JULY 28

 

        In the beginning was the Word. But before the beginning of all beginnings, there was only what we might call THOUGHT. Jehovah already vibrated as the word Before he was the word. He is the heavenly Father, the only God, who remains a kind of everlasting thought, unknowable completely, in the fullest sense, only through His Son Jesus of Nazareth. Yet Jesus and heavenly Father exist as one, like salt and water together produce salty water. They have an eternal blending and remain a kind of thought in process. Jesus is His Word in action. Know the Word. Know Jesus and you will know the Father. He has given us words so we can create relationships.

        Prayer: Thank you, Jesus, for giving us a way to know you and the Father as one. Help us share THE WORD!

 

Technology and Science July 24

 

Pay attention to discoveries in technology and science that may influence your decision-making. You do not need to fear science. Search to see how it should cooperate with Biblical truths. Heavenly Father is still Lord who made all natural things, the foundation of technology included. Remember, He created any avenue of science as well. Truth found in any idea is still His!

Prayer: Lord, help me recognize today that your truth may be found anywhere.

Value Judgments July 23

 

Think about sound Biblical judgments every chance you get. You have powerful, inward, decent intelligence the world does not have. Always trust you can operate more effectively with God’s moral intelligence. This intelligence moves along with scripture about who God is. One very important use of this intelligence is to help others whenever you can. If you stay observant and alert, the Spirit will give you heightened intellect for you to stay on track with the right values of kingdom living, a motivation of service, not some forced power. Generosity becomes the goal, not any greed that tends to hoard things!

Prayer: Lord, help all my reason through any action be flavored with your Spirit.
