Passion or Reason                                      Aug.21

Many will not admit this, but there are those who believe that unchecked passion creates more spirituality and appeals to your personal intelligence; that the energy of such drama can move you into the correct path. But notice I said, “unchecked.” Passion does appeal, but if it only leads to strong emotional result, your intelligence and understanding are fooled. Strong emotion laced with reason can heal the heart and soul much more than emotion alone. Your heavenly Father’s love may seem unreasonable at times, but remember, His love originates from a realm you do not fully comprehend yet. Faith and obedience in Me are the combinations for harmony of emotion and reason.

Prayer: Lord help me with the right kind of passion laced with your divine reasoning.

Do not just trust in your faith, but have faith in your trust of Me. Don’t just believe in the idea of Me; believe Me.

Prayer: Lord it remains hard to trust in a world that gives rational explanations to everything. Increase my trust in you.

God the Father did not prefer that I go to the cross, but He allowed the sacrifice in order to reach the higher goal of salvation for humanity. This displays no contradiction to the Holy Trinity who can perform as One without going against eternal harmony. You, on the other hand, cannot think in threes without some contradiction. Have more faith in mystery. There are even other vast dimensions you cannot comprehend now. Eternity does reveal all.

Prayer: Lord, help me to allow more mystery so I don’t have to know all the answers. Increase my faith.

It is in your best interest to trust your designer. Stone by stone, brick by brick, experience by experience I am putting the pieces together for the kingdom. Whatever stays true, whatever shows loyalty, whatever preserves right doing, whatever becomes pure of heart, whatever embraces beauty, whatever brings integrity; whatever presents itself as praiseworthy in My name, think always on these things.

Prayer: Lord help us with our thinking today, that our thoughts lead to complimenting the kingdom.

It takes time for a piece of rough mineral to become a precious, cut stone. Wait long enough and you will reach your potential. But for now, keep struggling with your growth. Any small element, like a seed or child, may start as an ugly mass and still become a beautiful result.

Prayer: Lord help me to smooth out the rough parts of my becoming all you intend.

When your heart hungers for something more, when you yearn for some release, when you wish so much could be different---you are hungry for love. You may experience many loves, but My kind of love excels as the only remedy to fill every void.

Prayer: Lord, sometimes I’m uncertain, but I want to know your kind of love above all else.

I did not promise every act of service would be pleasant. A planted seed does not experience pleasure. The fruit becomes the pleasure. You are to behave like the seed planted. You are to demonstrate the life. You are not to simply hold onto the fruit. You must not hoard the results but share completely all that remains yours to give.

Prayer: Lord help us remember to be generous with everything we possess, including time and talent.
