The scripture
reminds us heavenly Father’s ways are different than earthly negatives.
When you experience the negative, you will not FEEL like asking for some
positive. But turn to the Holy Spirit with your surrendered preference. Since
His ways are not usually humanity’s first thoughts, work on doing and asking an
opposite. For example, when you feel lonely, don’t ride the wave of pity.
Rather say: “Lord, thanks for being my friend.” When you are in pain,
say thanks for the pain that reminds us of life. When you are tired, say thanks
for the chance to rest in Christ. When you feel distrustful, say thanks for heavenly
trust. When you are sad, ask for delight in a permanent future with Christ.
When you feel impatient, ask to understand any connectedness in God’s work.
Work on unconditional love and then, pray to make any necessary change.
Prayer: Lord, help me to lean on your every word,
even when I do not feel like it. Grow my assurance that you are always present.
