Poor in spirit means to renounce yourself being totally in control. It does not mean to dishonor the self. I do not want to rule over a ruined self but a surrendered one. What happens when you renounce your self? You are left with an emptiness to be filled. The Holy Spirit can now make you aware of your God need, God dependence, and God origin. You can accept the Father’s grace and lean fully on him. Without the emptying of the self, you would still be filled with all the worldly clutter. That clutter pushes out the Holy Spirit, silencing his inner message. In modern terms, crucify your false self so your true self can be resurrected.

Prayer: Lord, I do pray you would help me be more other-centered.

My wisdom gives you better discernment and can help you make the right decisions to live the full life the Father intended. Ask to be wise and through this grows respect for who I am and your quality of trust will blossom. Your trust factor sustains your shield against the evil doers. It will keep you out of unnecessary trouble. Ask in every detail and your soul will be enriched.

One reason you need a close walk with Me everyday because for now, sin is permanently associated with the substance of your being. You can get better by not letting it control you, but you control it by calling on My name.

When you deliberately hide a negative and push it down, the subconscious captures it and places it in the depths of your soul. Honesty becomes more difficult because those buried issues stay glossed over and hidden from the light. Blessed are the poor in spirit partly means to abolish too much self-indulgence. Life remains hard to be poor in spirit when too rich in the physical. Give some away today to balance the physical and spiritual.

In the beginning of your journey, your faith was often too simple in that you became superstitious. The Father still honors any childlike faith, but it may be based on the fear of the unknown, so you trust too much to something like magic. The problem with magic or sorcery is that at the core, it has a false idea of causation. It centers on the thrill and enchantment for salvation and results in misdirected thinking and attitude toward the Father. The time has come to move that part of your superstitious self to the full acceptance of pure Grace. If you get ready for any miracles, so be it. But if not, you need to pay close attention to the small, unusual sights and sounds I send.

Prayer: Lord, I do not want to trust in magic, but help me accept the abiding mysteries of some of your word.

Since the Father revealed Me as a person to the world and to you, then the true path to him flows through your personal experience. By asking, you can know me personally, not trying to find Me through an intellectual exercise. My ownership of you, My partnership with you, and our special relationship are the roads you travel to truly understand who I am. Your experience matters and needs renewing often. Ask.

Prayer: Holy Father, I do pray you would soak every experience with your life-saving knowledge.

With emotional commitment comes trust. Trust presents mostly feeling. Trust continues to dwell in the realm of emotional feelings. Most reason gets abandoned when trust must feel in order for issues like hope to possess a reality. Trust moves promise into actual present fulfillment. Trust in Me. Hope in Me. Then, live in Me. Trust in your future, but give full participation for what still happens now.

Prayer: Lord, I have to admit: One of the hardest emotions to maintain faithful action stays with the issue of trust. Keep teaching me how.

Continually, unseen forces pass through you, like ultra violet rays. The Father may not need your body to connect with your mind, but He does want your senses to connect with Him. If you were to loose your consciousness, but maintain something like compassion, the Spirit could still interpret without your help. The Holy Spirit hears your unintelligent mutterings. There are more things passing through you that you do not register than you realize. My Spirit helps you go beyond your limitations. Since it is true that you are more than you think, feel, believe, and behave in Me, then you are valued much more than you think you are.

Prayer: Holy Father, thank you for seeing any worth in me and those around me.

It is one thing if you believe the heavenly father created everything and just turned it loose to progress as it would. In some ways he did with free will. But it is a higher belief to know the father remains involved with his creation. The truth stays firm that one purpose of creation resulted in a redemptive rest. Whatever else the father does through creation, he wants to put things back in balance for peace and harmony. He established a balance through the redeeming significance of his son in earthly matters and initiated humanity's potential with the Holy Spirit through struggles on earth.

Your appetite follows from your essence, who you really are. If you are a thief at heart, you'll have an insatiable need to steal. So then, Sin clings to the essence of you and sins become the appetites. It takes the power of the Holy Spirit to change your nature and thus change appetite. I did not take away your appetites, but I am changing them to move toward the Father. The greatest appetite of all vibrates Love.

At My baptism, when the voice from heaven proclaimed I was the Father's Beloved and the Holy Spirit came like the wings of a bird, all happened so other scripture was fulfilled. You have to chew on something for awhile and then you’ll bring it to pass, whether good or evil. Be careful what you dwell on with your mind.

One of your most threatening fears lingers as the fear of losing your identity, the fear of not belonging, the fear of someone taking your place, and the fear of no place. You will have this fear enlarged if you tie to earthly endeavors to define who you are. In Me and My kingdom you are already SOMEBODY. You have eternal place and identity because I’ve loved you into the kingdom of the Father. You need not be anxious about fear because it melts away with the Father’s love. I and the Father are One.

I have said I would not allow you to be tempted beyond your endurance, but with it, will come a way of escape. However, sometimes you may not see an immediate way out, but I am there just the same. Sometimes it takes earthly time to work things out. The working out of any problem becomes much like healing. At times, healing comes instantaneously. Others have to go through a process which may mean doctor involvement or other systems of health. Just as the angel could not come to help in war because he was busy in another place, I use time for the Holy Spirit to arrive at the proper connections. All things DO join together in Me. Trust I am working even when you feel abandoned.

Prayer: Lord, help me see your connections so I can know your overall picture.

I am not some kind of reluctant Savior, meaning you have to beg each day for my attention. In fact, every day I plan a new surprise, a new gift for you which contains My joy. Are you listening to receive? Pay close attention. My ways are not the world’s ways. Often, through opposite thinking or action, I am sending you a blessing. It may appear as some hardship, a health issue, a financial message, or a family event. Potentially, any activity may become My channel because I love to give.

Prayer: Lord, help me remember you have injected your love in every cell of my mind, body, and spirit; that every neuron fired in my brain is bathed in your love.

Never overlook the constant connection of your inner being and your outward behavior. Even though you live in this world but are not truly of it, you are to build bridges between spiritual devotion and behavioral outcomes. Remember the differences between the examples of Mary and Martha in scripture, but they were still sisters. True fellowship remains the goal.

I want you to try something for one day. You may or may not see results. Every time you meet someone, in the quiet of your mind, I want you to fire a bullet prayer at the person. Do this with every person you come in contact with: store clerk, family member, worker, anyone. Just pray at them, like “Lord help that person” or “give her strength”, or “in Jesus name peace”. Just say whatever you feel impressed to say. Do it a whole day and then, you might want to extend it longer. With this, you are practicing My presence.

Prayer: Lord, remind me through the day to keep praying for any I see.

On many corners of your world, you can see institutions that promise to offer help. Will you be set free from the struggles and troubles? Do you desire the condition of the non-believers who seem to have no problems? Does not everyone eat, drink and get rained on? Is your constant goal to avoid suffering? The Psalmist [121] points you to a magnificent truth: Believers and non-believers can have the same difficulties, but the Father will keep you from evil. Events that happen to you are neither good nor bad but have the potential seed of either one. I may allow you a hard, difficult, uncomfortable event, but My Spirit keeps you from doing evil. However, it remains no accident in My model prayer that I prayed “. . . deliver us from evil.”

Prayer: Lord, I do pray to deliver us from evil thoughts and ways.

Life intermingles like a mosaic. I am just as interested and concerned about the everyday little pieces of life as they fit together. Nothing stays too small or mundane but what it may be important to the overall kingdom. At the end, you will present the full mosaic to the Father.

Surrender your divided self into My hands and make certain what you give yourself to can sustain you fully. Any appeal to your energy needs to call out your best potential. If some matter brings NOT the best, it may not be of Me. What becomes best always promotes the Father’s will.

As you live in this world, what becomes the most important result of knowing Me, the Savior? Is it heaven? Is it peace? Is it abundance? Is it virtue? Is it hope? Is it you will have your own kingdom? All are true and resting on one thing becomes difficult, but if you follow Proverbs 2 and gain its treasure, I will bestow a guide more precious than gold: wisdom. Clearly there are two kinds of wisdom. One leads to selfish ambition and stays earth bound, not of the Father. The other comes from heaven and upholds Me as it nurtures by the fruit of the Spirit. How is the correct wisdom attained? Proverbs tells you to start by accepting the entire word of the Father. In that acceptance comes good sense and better insight into life, relationships, and humanity.

Prayer: Lord, grant me the wisdom to choose the right wisdom for you.

Do not hesitate. Make your decisions based upon kingdom principles, not trying to predict the results. Indecision feeds fear not faith. Don’t ask: “How will this affect me?” Rather, ask: “What is the right thing to do? What will feed kingdom growth? Even the right quick decision can keep you out of the dilemma of doubt.

Prayer: Lord, help me not to waver when it comes to behaving in your kingdom.

The Bible exists not just as a book of theories and themes. It remains a book of factual truth. Someone once said that things are not true because they are in the Bible, but they are in the Bible because they are true. The magnificence of My love isn’t just found in a love object, but in the thought and act of loving. You are not only to love scripture for its own sake but because the words bring you into My presence and I represent all truth. Scripture becomes your food to help you stay longer in My presence. My beingness is the energy of life. Think of the large tree that comes from a tiny seed because the life force germinates growth. You are the seed, scripture the enduring growth source. As your Savior I am the enlarging power to produce maturity. A full blown blossom stays a love expression from the Father. A full blown Christian is a love expression of the Son’s beauty.

Prayer: Thank you, Lord. Just thank you.

The sole difference in My being able to work certain powers in your life has to do with recognition. Maintain conscious effort everyday in remembering that I, the Christ, can be honored by the little things as well as the large. Your perception, attitude and ability to rest in Me make all the difference. Pay attention to where My Spirit keeps working. There I will be.

If you will fully believe that all things really are held together by Me and that I can be the source and sum of all you do, then every practical behavior and action can be praise to the Father. Your breathing, your eating, your beingness, your every cell belongs to you because of Me. So when you do any of these, they can serve as conscious acts of praise and honor to Me and the kingdom.

Prayer: Lord, let everything I do glorify your name some way.

You may not see what is left behind from your involvement with others. But because I give you everlasting principles that sustain heaven as well as earth, your influence will also be eternal. Each word or act in My name gives off cosmic energy that outlasts earthly time. Stay alert to what you say and do every day.

Prayer: Lord, I stand amazed that something I might say could last eternity. Let The Holy Spirit filter my mouth.

Simply refuse to criticize anyone. Pray instead. Keep your value of sensitive caring turned toward others. Let any tough-minded thoughts stay within yourself, but do not be too hard on yourself. Forgive at the point of your hardness and do not overly criticize.

Prayer: Forgive us Lord. It is too easy to pass judgment upon other people and their behavior.
