Be Distinct Sept. 30

 

The Spirit said:

 

"Go out today and do a specific act that only a genuine Christian would do."

 

Prayer: Lord, help me pay attention to do what you ask with any of my behaviors.

Trust Happiness Sept. 29

 

The Spirit reminded:

 

            "The truth remains that you can find thankfulness from any of your opposing experiences. And I your Lord, also want you to trust happiness in Me. Life, light, nature, and any experience with Me can give you joy. As you remind yourself to pray and work through Me, celebrate your relationships. Stop and feel. Give thanks for all the little unmentioned things."

 

Prayer: Thank you Lord, for family, friends, and work that you send my way or any mundane task to be done.

Kingdom Action Sept.28

 

AND Jesus said:

            "If I, your Savior, show you a need, if I let you see it clearly, the ability to see it becomes the Spirit’s urging to take some action and meet the need. You may not meet every need but work the one most clear. Discern the Spirit."

 

    Prayer: I pray today you would help me see and meet someone’s need.

 

Spiritual Presence Sept.27

 

And the Spirit said:

 

            "Often, you wonder why I do not keep you feeling My presence all the time, every waking minute. Your flesh would burn up. I can only expose you to absolute purity for brief moments, only those amounts your body and spirit can absorb. Even one like Moses had to hide his face from the people because My glory shined too bright after being with Me a length of time."

 

Prayer: Lord, help me not look away and teach me to handle your power and glory, one step at a time.

Rebellion Sept.26

 

Jesus reminded:

 

            "The heavenly Father’s kingdom bears its own fruit because it joins the proper soil. You are the soil. You are to become plowed anew, enriched, and readied for the seed of the kingdom. I, your Savior, give the life energy to grow the fruit, but you must be ready to receive the proper seed. If you rebel, you grow the weeds that take place in the good soil. Weeds wither and die. Only the kingdom-type plants endure forever."

 

Prayer: Lord, sometimes it is scary being the soil and knowing we get plowed up but give us courage to accept the right seed.    

 

Perspective Sept. 24

 

     The Spirit said:

 

        "From now on, try not to see any person from an earthly point of view. Stop yourself and view each person as who they can become in My kingdom understanding. Do not see them as rich or poor, educated or not, clean, or dirty, smart, or dumb, good, or bad. View them as potentially a new creature I can make in My love. Remember, you were once like them, outside My love. Yet, every person is made in My image. The image is disfigured by sin. With their willingness, I can fix that."

 

Prayer: Lord, I do pray you would help me see others through your eyes, no matter their situation or actions.

 

The Small Effort Sept.23

         And the Spirit said:                 

 

       "Every little gem of wisdom I pass on to you comes from heavenly Father and exists like a drop of fresh water to parched lips of the soul. Often share all you can. Today, especially, be faithful in the small things of the kingdom: brighten someone’s day, gain a new spiritual insight, encourage the down hearted. Your effort to be positive takes no more energy than the negative."

 

 

        Prayer: Lord, thank you for reminding me to treat others as I would want to be treated.

The Supreme Gift Sept. 22

 

And Jesus whispered:

 

"Remember…. rather than ever giving up on you, I gave Myself for you."

 

 

Prayer: Lord, I don’t always understand your great love, but I thank you and praise your name for your sacrifice.

 

Mixed Values Sept. 21

 

    

          Holy Spirit said:

  

            "One of your church leaders said that you face a generation trying to drink its way to prosperity, war its way to peace, spend its way to wealth, and ride a road of pleasure into heaven. But I say to you, prosperity does not come by artificial endeavor. War remains only war. Spending more only works if it’s a gift of yourself. Only enjoying your way to heaven may mean you are missing the struggles that are opportunities to grow. You do grow more through the challenges, and then you rest in Me."

 

 

Prayer: Lord, sometimes challenges seem too much, but help me see the growth in all of them to go beyond situations.

Ambition Sept. 20

 

     And the Spirit whispered:

   

            "Take a moment and think on this question. Can any ambition that yearns so much for praise and feeling accepted, live My gospel, when I cared not for any reputation and took service as My method to conquer? You need only Holy Spirit ambition that buries itself in serving others for the kingdom’s sake."

 

 

Prayer: Lord, I do want to think more of helping people than only helping myself. Let any interruptions become you sending me someone to help.

 

The Trade Sept. 19

 

And the Spirit said:

            "You will not reason away some emotions. You must learn to trade the bad emotion for a better one. For instance, use conscious effort and trade your anger for love.  Say to yourself daily, 'I trade my anger for Holy Spirit love.' Let the emotional and chemical quality of love help neutralize and renegotiate anger. I, the Lord, will help turn negative anger into the energy of redeeming love. Pray now and daily make the trade."

 

 

Prayer: Lord, help me to know your love in practical ways and to be willing to trade any negative feeling for your unselfish love.

The Kingdom Sept.18

 

   And Jesus said:

    "I have told you specifically there are some qualities of human nature that belong to the kingdom heavenly Father. You must become poor in spirit. Poor in spirit means to renounce your self-will, every day, every minute and turn to Me. You must enter My realm like a little child, remaining childlike with trust and faith but growing. You must learn to couch your discomfort in My name. You must be willing to endure suffering for my name’s sake. As you possess the kingdom, the kingdom possesses you. Joy then can rise in you not because of what you do but who you are."

 

Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me remember the Kingdom is now and not just in the future.

The Father’s Partnership Sept.17

 Jesus reminded:

        "Do you not realize how important you are? I left the joy of heaven as the second person of the Trinity to come to earth, bear the Cross, and go back to heaven with a new joy because I take you with Me. I sent the Holy Spirit to partner with you in all things. Use your faith I’ve given you to claim what already exists. Turn over all non-faith matters to Me."

 

 

        Prayer: Lord, help me to know the difference between the faith issues and the         non-faith issues in your kingdom.

Joy Sept.16

 

And Jesus Said:

 

        "I, the Lord of All the universe, want you to experience joy each day. No matter what circumstances prevail. How? You may ask. Let your expectations be defined by My possibilities. I send opportunities every day. Look for and expect My little surprises each day you live and know that you live eternity even now."

 

 

Prayer: Help me today stay open to the kingdom possibilities and not let negative circumstances rule.     

Good action Sept.12

 

         And Jesus suggested:

 

        "You have seen in Luke 8 how I healed the Gadarene from many demons. He wanted to journey with the disciples and Me. I told him to go back home and tell them what God had done. Perhaps this man had to borrow clothes to shield his earlier nakedness. He had been the cause of several pigs receiving the demons and dying. Do you wonder what he did? Perhaps now, he could go home and find work to pay for the clothes and the pigs. This may be your testimony to the world. The kingdom principles of kindness, of putting back and giving when you don’t have to go the extra mile, still are your goals."

 

 

Prayer: Lord I pray for your balance in all things. Place my footing on     your solid ground.

False service Sept.10

 

        And the Spirit whispered:

   

       "Beware of becoming inefficient from over activity of what others   may think goodwill. They can rob you of your time with Me. In My name, pray and then say NO if needed. Although you do not see one of My challenges, remember, your significant quest remains your own growth as you communicate with others. Causes for others need to be legitimate in My name. Keep seeking My spiritual insights."

 

Prayer: Keep me, Lord, seeking and working for the right things for the kingdom’s sake.

Good verses bad Sept.9

 And the Spirit said:

 

        "Your growth of love to heavenly Father will often measure your evaluation of hating evil. If you try to hate the evil without the right love, you enter a self-righteousness that tends to block our clear fellowship. When you enter some action, major on love. If you err, do so, on the side of heavenly Father loving Grace."

 

 

Prayer: Oh, Heavenly Father, teach me today to maintain love more than I cherish any hate.

Clear Perspective Sept.8

 

                                                 

         And Jesus said:

        "Ask today for clear insight and courage of discovery to see yourself openly for better change. You may be trying to cover something like resentment with a mask of goodness. A resentment or any subtle anger can get buried in your life and ruin any purpose. Avoid pretending but be completely honest with yourself and others. The great I AM vibrates within you."

        Prayer: Lord, help me today be truly honest about being honest.

Endurance Sept.7

 

Remember:

 

        "Holy Spirit helps you foresee. You have a great capacity to solve problems that happen, and you are more than your present circumstances suggest. You can move into what you can become. For instance, an animal may run to a dead-end cliff, either stop or fall off. You may run to the same dead end and try to figure how to build a bridge across. The Father gave you the ability to rework your conditions. Keep enduring and use Me as your guide."

 

Prayer: Lord, help me stay completely guided by your Spirit in my mind, emotions, spirit, and body.    

Self Control Sept.6

 

                                                                                             

 And Jesus said:

       

 "Remember, faithfulness and self-control remain fruits of My Spirit. The Spirit gives strength to amplify your trust quality. Along with your self-control, I will increase the perfect power of silence. So, by being a respectful listener, you will not judge the hearts of others, but you can have a vital part with them to manage better decisions."

 

 

Prayer: Lord, remind me today to bridle my tongue and listen to you and others more.

 

Competence Sept. 5

 

            Spirit reminded:

        "If you appear competent to yourself and others based on some human excellence, then you have only the potential of all a human can do. The Holy Spirit moves upon all your workable senses. If you draw your capability from Me your heavenly source, you may claim extraordinary proficiency. I am growing you as a bearer of the Good News. My assurance gives life abundantly. My Grace covers all. You may maintain self-assurance. Others may call you vain or haughty but know you have an extra confidence with Spirit."

 

Prayer: Heavenly Father, daily show us we are more than the sum of our parts.

Wasted Days Sept. 3

 

And the Spirit reminded

 

        "Remember, no day is totally wasted when you have even been a minor part in enhancing heavenly Father's Kingdom on earth, such as a word spoken, a spiritual truth discovered, or a simple deed done. Results are My domain. Logic of it all may remain My mystery. Connections are My concern. Just stay alert and focus life as part of the linking. Trust I still know what I’m doing."

 

Prayer: Thank you, Lord for the Kingdom connections now and in future. I leave them in your hands.

Grace Sept. 1

 

And the Lord said:

       

        "My Grace goes beyond all human expectations. My Grace stays capable above all things. Actively plant your salvation experience where needed and water with a grateful spirit. The power of WHO I AM will develop the fruit."

 

 

Prayer: Thank you Lord that it was your Grace that gave me faith in the first place to believe in you.
