What Love? Feb.21

God's love is like water. Water can strike a wheel and create energy. Water touches a plant and helps it grow. But put water in an open-ended container on a shelf and it will evaporate.

Feb. 12 Community or privacy?

Adam and Eve did not feel a need for privacy until they went against God and created their own self-wills through Satan’s suggestions. [Genesis 3] This break of humanity’s community-condition goes against God’s fellowship nature. In the authentic Christian community, sharing may be more important than privacy.

Feb. 11 Believe or not

A story was told. 

A tough, oil-field worker knelt by his dying son’s hospital bed. As the father held the boy’s hand and looked into small brown eyes, the little boy asked: “Dad, Am I going to die?” The father lowered his moist eyes, looked back up and said, “The doctor said you are. Are you afraid?” The little boy smiled and said, “If God is like you are, I’m not afraid.”

Feb. 7 What next?

Psalm 56:13: [NKJV]

“For you have delivered my soul from death.”

        (All my sins are forgiven.)

“Have You not delivered my feet from falling,”

        (You take care of me in the present.)

“That I may walk before God in the light of the living?”

        (You guide my future challenges.)

Feb. 6 An idea for the preachers:

If you had a bad week, sit on left side of auditorium, facing preacher. If you had a mediocre week sit in the middle; If you had a good week, sit on the right side. Then the preacher could look out over group and see what kind of week you had.

Feb. 3 How significant is a word?

Jehovah God went into His word and became a man Jesus. We go into our words when we speak.
