Find Distinction Sept. 30

And the Spirit said:

"Go out today and do a specific act that only a genuine Christian would do."

Prayer: Lord, help me pay attention to do what you ask with any of my behaviors.

Trust Happiness Sept. 29

Holy Spirit said:

           " The truth remains that you can find thankfulness from any of your opposing experiences. But, I your Lord, also want you to trust happiness in Me. Life, light, nature and any experience with Me can give you joy. As you remind yourself to pray and work through Me, celebrate your relationships. Stop and feel. Give thanks for all the little unmentioned things."

Prayer: Thank you Lord, for family, friends and good surprises you send my way.

Spiritual Presence Sept.27

 Holy Spirit reminded:

            "Often, you wonder why I do not keep you feeling My presence all the time, every waking minute. Your flesh would burn up. I can only expose you to absolute purity for brief moments, only those amounts your body and spirit can absorb. Even one like Moses had to hide his face from the people because My glory shined too bright after being with Me a length of time."

Prayer: Lord, teach me to handle your power and glory, one step at a time.

Rebellion Sept.26

 And Jesus said to me:

            "The heavenly kingdom bears its own fruit because it joins the proper soil. You are the soil. You are to become plowed anew, enriched and readied for the seed of the kingdom. I, your Savior, give the life energy to grow the fruit, but you must be ready to receive the proper seed. If you rebel, you grow the weeds that take place in the good soil. Weeds wither and die. Only my kingdom-type plants endure forever."

Prayer: Lord, sometimes it is scary being the soil and knowing we get plowed up, but, give us courage to accept the right seed.      

You Decide Sept.25

 And Jesus said:

    "When I walked with My twelve disciples and ate grain from the stalks in the field, I was challenged by man’s law “to not gather grain” on the Sabbath. Then, I posed the question: “Was man made for the Sabbath or the Sabbath made for man?” In other words, was a person made for the environment or the environment made for a person?  Be aware that your circumstances do not control you, but you control your circumstances. You have lasting decisions to make. Your job, friends, or even family should not overrun you."

 Prayer: Lord, help me make clear, specific decision-making concerning every aspect of daily living.

The Small Effort Sept.24

              

 Holy Spirit said:

       "Every little gem of wisdom passed on to you comes from the Father and exists like a drop of fresh water to parched lips of the soul. Share all you can with every opportunity. Today, especially, be faithful in the small things of the kingdom: give a compliment, help someone smile, encourage the downhearted. Your effort takes no more energy to be kind than to be rude."

Prayer: Lord, thank you for reminding me to treat others as I would want to be treated.                                                                               

Perspective Sept. 23

 And the Spirit said:

            "From now on, avoid seeing any person from an earthly point of view. Stop yourself and work to see each person as a potential for My kingdom understanding. Do not see them as rich or poor, educated or not, clean or dirty, smart or dumb, good or bad. See them as what they can become. View them as potentially a new creature I can make in My love, then behave toward them accordingly. Every person is made in My image. The image is disfigured by sin. I can fix that."

Prayer: Lord, you know it's hard for us. But I do pray you would help me see others through your eyes, no matter their actions.

The Supreme Gift Sept. 22

The Spirit said:

"Remember, rather than giving up on you, I gave Myself FOR you."

Prayer: Lord, I don’t always understand your great love, but I thank you and praise your name for your sacrifice.

Mixed Values Sept. 21

And the Word came:

            "One of your church leaders said that you face a generation trying to drink its way to prosperity, war its way to peace, spend its way to wealth, and ride a road of pleasure into heaven. But I say to you, prosperity does not come by artificial endeavor. War remains only war. Spending more only works if it’s a gift of yourself. If you only enjoy your way to heaven, you may miss struggles that are opportunities to grow. You do not have to search for struggles. Just know they come and you do grow more through the challenges, and then you learn rest in Me."

Prayer: Lord, sometimes the challenges seem too much, but help me to see the growth in all of them.

Ambition Sept. 20

   Holy Spirit challenged:

        "Take a moment and think on this question. Can any ambition that yearns so much for praise and feeling competent, live My gospel, when I cared not for any reputation and took service as My method to conquer? You need only Holy Spirit ambition that joins you in serving others for the kingdom’s sake."

Prayer: Lord, I do want to think more of helping people than only helping myself. Let any interruptions become you sending me someone.

The Trade Sept. 19

 Holy Spirit reminded:

                "You cannot reason away some emotions. You must learn to trade a bad emotion for a better one. For instance, perform conscious effort and trade your anger for love. Let the emotional and chemical quality of love help neutralize and renegotiate anger. I, the Lord, will help turn negative anger into the energy of redeeming love. Pray now and daily make the trade."

Prayer: Lord, help me to know your love in practical ways and to be willing to trade any negative feeling for your unselfish love.

The Kingdom Sept.18

   Holy Spirit reminded:

    "I have told you specifically there are qualities of human nature that belong to the kingdom of the Father. You must become poor in spirit. Poor in spirit means to renounce your self-will and turn to Me. You must enter My realm as a little child. You are to remain childlike with belief and trust. You must learn to couch your discomfort in My name. Sometimes you endure suffering for my name’s sake. As you possess the kingdom, the kingdom possesses you."

Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me remember the Kingdom is now and not just in the future.

Heavenly Father’s Partnership Sept.17

 And Jesus said:

    "Can you not realize how important you are? I left the joy of heaven as the second person of the Trinity to come to earth, bear the Cross, and go back to heaven with a new joy because I take you with Me. I left behind the Holy Spirit to partner with you in all things. Use your faith I’ve given you to claim what already exists. Leave the non-faith matters to Me."

Prayer: Lord, help me to know the difference between the faith issues and the non-faith issues.   

Joy Sept.16

 Jesus whispered:

    "I, the Lord of All the universe, want you to experience joy each day. No matter what circumstances prevail. How? You may ask. Let your expectations be defined by My possibilities. I send opportunities every day. Look for and expect My little surprises each day you live and know that you live eternity even now."

Prayer: Help me today stay open to the kingdom possibilities and not let negative circumstances rule.

Finances Sept.15

   The Spirit reminded:

    "When finances get you down, start saying a prayer over every bill you send that it becomes used to help others as a living event in the kingdom for God’s glory. Even if you’ve spent the funds unwisely, pray the pay back will redeem both you and others."

Prayer: Lord, help me remember, all finances are yours and they are extensions of our personalities.

The Cosmos Sept.14

And the Holy Spirit said:

    "The whole creation waits eagerly for your growth to be revealed because you have trusted Me. The world yearns for redemption like a parent aches for the experiences of a child. The creation is restrained by the will of the Creator because the process adds to the hope of freedom from bondage. You move toward freedom from ruin and decay, toward honest participation in the glory of the Father. As a child of God, part of you groans along with creation because you wait for your final adopted position into the kingdom. All creation will be saved that is supposed to be saved."

Prayer: Thank you Lord, that you re-created us when you gave us the Holy Spirit.

Spiritual eyes Sept.13

 And the Lord said:

    "You are truly blessed because you see what I teach you. You see the kingdom of the Father. In older days, kings and prophets wanted to see what you see but could not. They wanted to hear what you hear but could not. They wanted to feel what you feel but could not. You have the Holy Spirit’s presence within to guide you always. Give Him notice and depend on Him."

Prayer: Lord, help us remember, the Holy Spirit remains always our teacher within our hearts.

Good action Sept.12

 And the Spirit said:

    "You have seen in Luke 8 how I healed the Gadarene from many demons. He wanted to journey with the disciples and Me. I told him to go back home and tell them what God had done. This man had on borrowed clothes to shield his earlier nakedness. He had been the cause of several pigs receiving the demons and dying. Do you wonder what he did? Perhaps he could now go home and find work to pay for the clothes and the pigs. This can be your testimony to the world. The kingdom principles of kindness, of putting back and giving when you don’t have to go the extra mile, still are your goals."

Prayer: Lord I pray for your balance in all things; place my footing on your                solid ground.

Compassion Blockers Sept.11

 Holy Spirit reminded:

    "Resentment, envy, anger, or fear can throw up roadblocks to compassionate growth. Compassion must start with other-centered thought. Practice taking one day every week and do something nice for everyone you meet. Say a kind word; give your time or money; smile; and do some good action. Avoid expecting any thanks in return. Extend the action to two days. Stretch the days so your goal happens every day of the week. Blessed are the merciful."

Prayer: Lord, help any passion I have turn to compassion when needed.

False service Sept.10

   And the Holy Spirit said:

    "Beware of becoming inefficient from over activity of what others may think goodwill. They can rob you of your time with Me. In My name, ease them along and say a kind NO. Although you may not see one of My challenges of the moment, remember, your significant quest remains your own growth and what legitimate causes may be for others. Keep seeking My spiritual insights."

Prayer: Keep me, Lord, seeking the right things for the kingdom sake.

Good verses bad Sept.9

 Holy Spirit said:

    "Your capacity to love God the Father will define your evaluation of hating evil. If you try to hate evil with just your will and without My love, you enter a self-righteousness that tends to break Our clear fellowship. When you enter any action, major on love. If you happen to err, do so, on the side of My loving power."

Prayer: Oh, Heavenly Father, teach me today to maintain love more than I cherish any hate.      

Clear Perspective Sept.8

                                                   

        And the Holy Spirit said:  

        "Ask specifically today for clear insight and courage of discovery to see yourself openly. You may be trying to cloak resentments with garments of piety. Any resentment or subtle anger will gain a foothold in your life and ruin any purpose. Do not harbor pretense but be completely honest with yourself and others. The great I AM vibrates within you."

Prayer: Lord, help me today be truly honest about being honest.

Endurance Sept.7

 Holy Spirit said:

    "I help you foresee. You have a great capacity to solve problems that happen, and you are more than your present circumstances suggest. You can move into what you can become. For instance, an animal may run to a dead-end cliff, either stop or fall off. You may run to the same dead end and try to figure how to build a bridge across. The Father gave you the ability to rework your conditions. Keep enduring and use Me as your guide."

Prayer: Lord, help me stay completely guided by your Spirit in my mind, emotions, spirit and body.    

Self Control Sept.6

                                                                                             

 Holy Spirit reminded:

        "Remember, faithfulness and self-control remain fruits of My Spirit. I will give strength. I will amplify your trust quality. I can give you perfect power of silence along with your self-control of language. Then, you are not to judge the hearts of others, but you can have a part in managing better decisions with them."

Prayer: Lord, especially remind me today to bridle my tongue.

Competence Sept. 5

 And Jesus said:

    "If you appear competent to yourself and others based on some human excellence, then you have only the potential of all a human can do. The Holy Spirit writes upon the tablet of your human heart. If you draw your capability from Me and I have it from the Father, you may claim extraordinary proficiency. I have made you complete as a bearer of the New Covenant. I remain an assurance of the Spirit who gives life abundantly. You may go ahead with self-assurance. Others may call you vain or haughty but not if you stay in the confidence of the Spirit."

Prayer: Heavenly Father, show me often I am more than the sum of my parts.

Special Bond Sept.4

  Holy Spirit said:

"If you walk by the water, I am there. If you scale a mountain, I am there. If you inhabit the air, I am there. I walk everywhere and everywhen with you. I am your constant partner. Think of Me. 'Take My yoke upon you' does not just mean you must withstand some burden. But rather, we continue linked together and I bear the entire journey with you."

Prayer: Thank you Lord for the caring you give and your eternal bond.                                                          

Wasted Days Sept. 3

 Holy Spirit reminded:

        "Remember, no day is totally wasted when you have been a minor part in enhancing God's Kingdom on earth, such as a word spoken, a spiritual truth discovered, or a simple deed done. Results are My domain. The logic of it all may remain My mystery. Connections are My concern. Stay alert as part of the linking. Trust I still know what I’m doing."

Prayer: Thank you, Lord, for the Kingdom connections now and not just in a future heaven.

Secure Sept. 2

Holy Spirit reminded:

"You have a place, an individual position that is still yours alone. It lingers as a hiding place and continues as a location of rest or action, overshadowed by the Highest Spirit. Covered with the Father's love, no one can go there but you. I am there with you always."

Reader Prayer: Lord, remind me every day to enter that secret hiding place you have for Me.    

Grace Sept. 1

       And Jesus said:

      "My Grace goes beyond all human expectations. My Grace stays completely capable. Actively plant your salvation where needed and water with a grateful spirit. The power of WHO I AM will develop the fruit."

Prayer: Thank you Lord that it was your Grace that gave me faith in the first place to believe in you.
