Power of Soul Oct. 31

 

The soul houses your willingness, your decision-maker. When you deliberately hide a negative and push it down, the subconscious captures it and places it in the depths of your soul. Selfish will tries to hide other-centered attempts at honesty. Honesty becomes more difficult because those buried issues stay glossed over and hidden from the light. Ask God’s Spirit to shed light and reveal all, as He partners with your spirit for conscious and subconscious healing and helps you start over. Nothing is beyond Christ forgiveness except an unwillingness that rejects His forgiveness.

Prayer: Lord, help me be more self-honest because I know I hide nothing from you.       

Satan Can’t See Oct.30

 

There exists a secret, which remains a secret, which the Holy Spirit reveals to you as a subtle knowing: the I AM love remains unchangeably fixed, does not change, is ultimate reality hidden from evil. The negative forces do not accept this so they never can understand.

Prayer: Thank you, Father, for keeping some things away from the evil one who tries to fool us all the time.

Doubt’s Opposite Oct.28

 

Allow your faith, hope, and trust in Christ grow to cover any doubt of any of your specific limitations, like health, time, or money. This is the time of year to surrender all that does not check out with the law of love I’ve given you. So, love your neighbor with all your might as I have loved you.

Prayer: Lord, I pray for a mature love so I think more of others.

Be Careful Oct.27

 

In the kingdom of heavenly Father, if not careful, an over abundant prosperity can blind your servant challenge, your humble beginnings. Blessed are the poor in spirit partly means to abolish too much self-indulgence. Life remains hard to be poor in spirit when too rich in the physical. Give some away today to balance the physical and spiritual.

Prayer: Lord, help me be aware of who and what to give away today.

 

Be alert Oct.26

 

In the beginning of your journey, your faith was often simple in that you leaned toward a belief that almost expected magical happenings. It was a childlike faith that the heavenly Father still honors, but it may be based on the fear of the unknown, so you trust too much in something like magic. The problem with magic or sorcery is that at the core, it has a false idea of causation. It centers on the thrill and enchantment for salvation and results in misdirected thinking about heavenly beings, especially God. The time has come to move that part of your superstitious self to the full acceptance of pure Grace and Faith.  Miracles may happen or not but pay close attention to the small sights and sounds Holy Spirit sends in any situation.

 

Prayer: Lord, I do not want to trust in magical thinking, so help me accept the abiding mysteries in any of your word.

Relating Oct.25

 

Since heavenly Father revealed Jesus as a person to the world and to you, then the true path to Him flows through your personal experience. By asking, you can know him personally, not trying to find him through some thinking exercise. Rather, the Holy Spirit connects with you as ownership. Then a partnership with you and a special relationship become roads you travel to understand who God is. Your experiences matter and need renewing often. Ask what’s next.

Prayer: Holy Father, I do pray you cover all my experiences with your life-saving Spirit and knowledge in present and future.

Trust Oct.24

 

Trust quality emerges from the realm of emotions. Most reason gets abandoned when trust must feel for issues like hope in order to form a reality. Trust moves promise into actual present fulfillment. Trust in the heavenly Father. Hope in Him. Then, live in His kingdom of growth. Trust in your future, but give full participation for what still happens now. Trust your faith. Then faith your trust.

Prayer: Lord, I admit: One of the hardest emotions to maintain faithful action remains with the trust issue. Keep teaching me how.

Plans Oct.23

 

Jehovah God is the maker of signposts. You are to read the signs, then decide with free will what action is needed. God’s Grace covers your errors, yet they are still yours to make. Look carefully. Do not try to become the sign maker. Design your life through Him. Search and find direction through His path.

Prayer: Lord, I do want you to help me find the right life paths and read them correctly.

Spirit Works Oct.21

 

Continually, unseen forces pass through you, like ultra-violet rays. The Heavenly Father may not need your body to connect with your mind, but He does want your senses to connect with Him. If you were to lose your consciousness, but maintain something like compassion, the Spirit could still interpret without your help. The Holy Spirit hears your unintelligent mutterings. There are more things passing through you that you do not register than you realize. God’s Spirit helps you go beyond your limitations. Since it is true that you are more than you think-feel-believe or behave, you are valued much more than you think you are.

Prayer: Holy Father, thank you for seeing worth in us through your Son.

Creation Oct.20

 

It is one thing if you believe the heavenly Father created everything and just turned it loose to progress as it would. In some ways He did with free will. But it is a higher belief to know the Father remains involved with His creation. The truth is one purpose of creation resulted in a redemptive rest. Whatever else the Father does through creation, He will put things back in balance for peace and harmony. He establishes a balance through the redeeming significance of His Son and initiates humanity's potential to obtain the Holy Spirit. He brings harmony to your spirit.

Prayer: Lord, help me seek harmonious decisions in every aspect of this world.

Spiritual Appetite Oct.19

 

Your appetite follows from your essence, who you really are. Sin is your nature and clings to the essence of you and sins are the results which were your appetites. If you are a thief at heart, you'll have a thirsty need to steal something. It takes the power of the Holy Spirit to change your nature and thus change your appetite. Jesus does not take away your appetites, but He is changing them to move toward heavenly Father. The greatest appetite of all vibrates Love and you must learn the right love which God can give.

Prayer: Thank you, Lord. I know I have no secrets from you. Part of me does hunger for your right doing.

The Pronouncement Oct.18

 

At Jesus’ baptism, when the voice from heaven proclaimed he was the Father's Beloved and the Holy Spirit came like the wings of a bird, all happened as other scriptures were fulfilled. But also, the event was a picture of what happens to you when you trust. Your perspective starts changing to other centered desires. You receive the Spirit and become God’s special child. There exists nothing more precious, not worlds or universes. Remember who you are everyday: A growing Beloved.

Prayer: Thank you, Lord, for your gracious acceptance of me.

Oct. 17 Why wait?

 

Because Jehovah God, our heavenly Father, IS unconditional love, He has the power to give himself in love or hold back without any contradiction. He then gives us faith to endure the time. Why do we have to endure? Because we live in 24 hr. day times and God’s time is not just day by day, but a thousand years may be like His one day. Besides, when God speaks [let there be light] it happens. He says, “wait”, then we wait. He says “go”, then we go.

Prayer: Holy Father, grow our patience to understand the wait.

Think and Do Oct.16

 

If you hold an idea long enough in your mind, you will act upon it. Part of your imagination is made in the image of heavenly Father. He has instantaneous creative ability. He thinks and it happens. You have creative ability. Although, you must think about something for a while, gather your needed resources, then you’ll invent, copy, or build your thought, whether good or evil. Be careful what you dwell on with your mind. It can turn into action.

Prayer: Lord, keep me focusing my mind on your kingdom guidelines. Help me discipline my sight and thoughts.

Fear Dissolved Oct.15

 

One of your most threatening fears is the fear of losing your identity, the fear of someone else taking your place, and the fear of not mattering to anyone, becoming a nobody. This fear is enlarged when you depend only on earthly works to define who you are. In Christ and His kingdom, you are already SOMEBODY. You have eternal place and identity because He loved you into the kingdom of heavenly Father. You need not be anxious about fear because it melts away with the father’s love. Jesus and heavenly Father are One. He gives the right faith to conquer fear. Embracing your fear is like drinking poison.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, turn all my fears into faith.

Temptation Oct.14

 

Jesus said He would not allow you to be tempted beyond your endurance, but with it, will come a way of escape. However, sometimes you may not see an immediate way out, but the Holy Spirit is there just the same. The working out of any problem becomes much like healing. At times, healing comes instantaneously. Others must go through a process which may mean doctor involvement or other systems of health. Just as an example, the angel could not come to help in war because he was busy in another place. God uses your earthly time for the Holy Spirit to arrive at the proper connections. All things DO join together in Christ. TRUST He is working even when you feel abandoned. 

Prayer: Lord, help me trust your connections, even when I cannot see your overall picture.

New Surprises Oct.13

  

        Heavenly Father is not some hesitant Savior, meaning you must beg over and over for his attention. In fact, every day He plans what may seem a new surprise, a new gift for you which contains joy.  Pay close attention. His ways are not the world’s ways. Often, through unusual thinking or action, he sends you a blessing. It can even appear as some hardship, a health issue, a financial message, or a family event. Potentially, any activity may become his channel because He loves to give. Pray to understand the differences.

Prayer: Lord, help me remember you injected your love in every cell of my mind, body, and spirit; every neuron fired in my brain is bathed in your love.

Connections Oct.12

 

Never overlook the constant connection of your inner being and your outward behavior. Even though you live in this world but are not truly of it, you are to build bridges between spiritual devotion and physical outcomes. Think of the difference between the example of Mary and Martha in Luke’s gospel. They were so different in behavior but remember they were still sisters. True fellowship remains the goal in spite of circumstances.

Prayer: Lord, with connections, help me know where and when I fit.

Live Action Oct.11

 

Try something for one day. You may or may not see results. Every time you meet someone, in the quiet of your mind, send a prayer to the person. Do this with every person you meet, store clerk, family member, worker, anyone. Just pray at them, like “Lord, help that person” or “give her strength”, or “in Jesus’ name peace”. Just say whatever you feel impressed to say. Do it a whole day and then, you might want to extend it longer. With this, you are practicing Christ’s presence.

Prayer: Lord, remind me to keep praying for any I see.

Genuine Help Oct.10

 

In the advertising world, you can see products and institutions that promise to offer relief. Will you be set free from the struggles and troubles? Do you desire the condition of the non-believers who seem to have no problems? Does not everyone eat, drink, and get hailed on? Is your constant goal to avoid suffering? The Psalmist [121] points you to a magnificent truth: Believers and non-believers can have the same difficulties, but the heavenly Father will keep you from evil. Circumstances that happen to you are neither good nor bad but have the potential seed for either one. God may allow you a hard, difficult, uncomfortable event, but you can belive His Spirit keeps you from doing evil. It is no accident in the model prayer that even Jesus prayed “. . . deliver us from evil.”

        Prayer: Lord, I pray you deliver us from evil thoughts and ways.

Small Items Oct.9

 

Life intermingles like a mosaic. God is just as interested and concerned about the everyday little pieces of life as they fit together. Nothing stays too little or mundane but the small may be important to the overall kingdom. At the end, you will recall, piece by piece, the full mosaic that points to the heavenly Father.

Prayer: Oh Lord, help me pay attention to all the little facets of life.

Maturity in Love Oct.5

 

The Bible exists not just as a book of theories and themes. It remains a book of facts. It has been said that things are not true because they are in the Bible, but they are in the Bible because they are true. You are not only to love scripture for its own sake but because the words bring you into God’s presence and He is all truth. The magnificence of His love isn’t just found in a love object, but in the act of loving. Scripture becomes your food to help you stay longer in his presence. His beingness is the energy of life. Think of the colorful flower that comes from a tiny seed because the life force germinates growth. You are the seed, scripture the enduring growth source. As your Savior, He stays the enlarging power to produce maturity. A full-blown blossom shows a love expression from heavenly Father. A full-blown Christian is a love expression of the Son’s beauty.

Prayer: Thank you, Lord. Just thank you.

A Day’s Difference Oct.4

 

The sole difference in God being able to work certain powers in your life has to do with recognition. Maintain conscious effort every day in remembering that Christ can be honored by the little things as well as the large. Your perception, attitude, and ability to rest in Him make all the difference. Pay attention to where the Spirit keeps working.  God will be there.

Prayer: Lord, open and keep my spiritual eyes focused on you with all my daily activities.

Practice God's presence Oct. 3

 

If you fully believe that all things really are held together by God and that He can be the source and result of all you do, then every practical behavior and action can be praise to heavenly Father. Your breathing, your eating, your beingness, every cell is yours joined by Him. So, when you experience any of these, they can serve as conscious acts of praise and honor to the Father and kingdom growth. Praise can be a simple thank you.

Prayer: Lord, let everything I do glorify your name in some way.

Influence Oct.2

 

You may not see what is left behind by your involvement with others, but because God gives you everlasting principles that sustain earth that come from the heavenly realm, your influence will also be eternal. Each word or act in God's name gives off cosmic energy that outlasts earthly time. Stay alert to what you say and do every day.

Prayer: Lord, I stand amazed that something I might say could last eternity. Let the Holy Spirit filter my mind and mouth.

Criticism Oct.1

 

Simply refuse to criticize anyone. Pray instead. In other words, use your value of sensitive caring toward others like a prayer. Let any tough-minded thoughts stay within yourself, but do not be too hard on yourself. Try not to overly criticize. Forgive at the point of your harshness and let God be the judge.

 

Prayer: Forgive us Lord. It is too easy to pass judgment upon other people’s behavior and even upon ourselves.
