No Excuse Aug. 31

Jesus reminded:

"If a close relative or friend wrongs you, you cannot use that as an excuse to give up patience, to give up on love, or to check the individual off as unworthy of your concerns. A specific wrong done to you does not justify your giving up on kingdom values. And you may not understand all now, but all humans are precious in the Father’s eyes and so are important in Mine. My love endures all things. Only one issue hurts my love: those that reject Me."

Prayer: Heavenly Father, today I pray for every single one of my family and extended family that each may receive your Grace and favor.

Enemies Aug.30

And Jehovah said:

"In My higher reality, I have no enemies. Evil is my enemy. Although people may treat Me as an enemy, I love all so that some will become My friends. You are to pray for and love your enemies, so they too might become my friends. If they do not respond, keep praying positively for them whenever they pop up in your mind. I will do the rest."

Prayer: Lord, it is so hard to love those unlovable who appear to be our enemies. But I want to do as you say.

The Unexpected Aug.29

And Jesus said:

"I may not be where you think I am. I am often in the unexpected. There ARE many things you can trust to be as you think, but I am also a surprise. All around you the resurrection principle stays active. Something dies, and something lives. This explains why I may astonish you as I did the disciples after I returned from the dead. The unexpected happens because the kingdom principles are not the same as those of this world. This is part of the reason you are to exercise your faith every chance you get. You live in the kingdom of service and surprise."

Prayer: Thank you Lord; I am grateful for your generous surprises and opportunities to serve.

The Unlikable Aug.28

And Jesus said:

"There will be people in this world you do not like and do not want to spend time. You still need to love them by loving the potential the Father can give to each one. You need to give them the heavenly love for what they can become. This does not mean you will like them because the ability to like is based on similar interests, talents, or journeys together. If you really want to like someone, you must spend the right kind of time with them."

Prayer: Lord I confess I do not like everyone, but I want to learn all I can about love that helps me like others.

Complete Forgiveness Aug.27

And the Holy Spirit said:

"Events will happen when people will misunderstand you, will hurt you, misuse you, and treat you unkindly. In My word I said that when others do not receive you well, you are to shake the dust from your feet and move on. I did not mean you should ignore them or forgive them only partially.  I mean do not let the dust of others cling to you in some form of unforgiveness. Forgive completely, and then move on. Turn your will over to God and do whatever it takes to experience the true forgiveness of your heavenly Father."

Prayer: Lord, help us remember we do not have to forgive all behavior of others. Help us learn to just forgive them as flawed humans.

Awareness Waiting Aug.26

And the Lord said:

"Remember, a time for talk always presents itself, but there is still a time for stillness. Make yourself acknowledge Me. Be still and know Me. The Holy Spirit will help you listen your way into new feelings. Even when it seems like nothing tangible comes through, know that I am here. Peace and rest I give you. Receive the gift. As uncomfortable as it seems, keep practicing and flow with the silence."

Prayer: Lord I pray for my own peace, for those around me and for parts of the world where it is so needed

Missed Faith Aug.25

And Jesus said:

"You may have occasions when your faith wavers, meaning you start to rely on worldly principles or possessions to get you through. During those seasons, you may be able to draw upon your resources, such as money or a friendship to solve some difficulty. This may not be wrong, but even after other resources seem exhausted, seek your special place; try to relax your mind and ask Me to remember who you are. Depend on Me to see you through any of your incidents of doubt. My faith can indeed move anything that seems like a mountain. Grab hold of faith, not fear."

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for giving us your Son and for giving us faith to accept your word.

Facts Aug.24

     

 Holy Spirit reasoned:

"If aspects of your faith disagree with someone else’s facts of reality, are their facts necessarily truer? Is your faith untrue? Know My scripture. Culture may promote what they believe fact based on experiment or science, but have only part truth, like money will solve everything. The scripture teaches otherwise. Sometimes you’ll need to believe with your heart and not just your head because My word teaches from heavenly principles. The reasoning of the heavenly dimension may confuse what gets interpreted as the earthly reality, but I will show you truth from facts of culture and from heaven."

Prayer: Lord, help us avoid so much trivia of the world and focus on the things of Kingdom actions.

Attraction Aug.22

Holy Spirit reminded:

"It has been said, 'Whatever gets your attention, gets you.' Often, what gets your imagination gets your action. So, where your empathy, passion, and compassion go, your actions will follow.  In order to balance a sound mind and heart, follow Me and serve others"

Prayer: Lord, remind us today to keep our eyes trained on the specific needs of others.

Passion or Reason Aug.21

And Jesus said:

            "Some will not admit this, but many believe that unbridled passion in worship experience, creates deeper spirituality and stimulates personal intelligence, and that the energy of such drama can move you into a correct path. While, strong passion is appealing, if it only leads to emotional outlet, the intelligent, thinking part of you may be fooled. On the other hand, strong emotion laced with reason can be a healer of heart and mind. Although your heavenly Father’s love may seem unreasonable at times, remember, His love originates from a realm you do not fully understand yet. Faith with obedience in Me are the best combination to find a harmony of emotion and reason."

Prayer: Lord guide me to find the right kind of passion laced with your divine reasoning.

Trust the Right Way Aug.20

 The Holy Spirit whispered:

            "Do more than trust in your faith, but have faith in your trust of Me. Don’t just believe in the idea of Me; believe Me."

Prayer: Lord, in a world that gives rational explanations to everything, it is hard to simply trust and surrender. Increase my trust in you.

Mystery Guide Aug.19

        Holy Spirit said:    

            "One mystery is God the Father did not prefer that I go to the cross, but He allowed the sacrifice in order to reach the higher goal of salvation for humanity. There is no contradiction to the Holy Trinity who can perform as One without going against eternal harmony. You, on the other hand, cannot think in threes without some contradiction. Have more faith in not knowing certain answers. There are other vast dimensions you cannot understand now. Eternity will reveal everything. Mystery is unknown information to help grow faith."

Prayer: Lord, help me to allow more mystery so I don’t have to know all the answers right now. Increase my faith.

The Best Aug.18

Holy Spirit reminded:

            "It is in your best interest to trust your designer. Stone by stone, brick by brick, experience by experience I am putting the pieces together for the kingdom. Whatever is true, whatever shows loyalty, whatever promotes right doing, whatever encourages purity of heart, whatever shows beauty, whatever brings integrity; whatever presents itself as praiseworthy in My name: think always on these things."

Prayer: Lord help us with our thinking today, that our thoughts lead to complementing the kingdom.

Wait Aug.17

 Holy Spirit said:

           "It takes time for a piece of rough mineral to become a precious, cut stone. Any small element, like a seed or child, may start as an insignificant mass and still yield a beautiful result. Wait long enough and you also will reach your potential. But for now, keep patiently struggling with your growth. Any Christian duty missed might have been a heavenly insight for your growth."

    Prayer: Lord, work close with me, to smooth out the rough edges to

            become all you intend.

Amazing Aug.16

Jesus said:

“Even after you give yourself to Me and I am your owner, we establish an owner/partner relationship. I do half and you do half. But the Self tries to creep back in to take over. Daily renew your commitment to heavenly Father so the Self cannot rule. Each day let us walk alongside each other so you become who and what you CAN be. You have a divine potential.” 

Prayer: Lord, help me understand who I should become.                                                                             

Service Aug.15

 And Jesus said:

            "I did not promise every act of service would be pleasant. A planted seed does not experience pleasure. The fruit brings the pleasure. You are to behave like the seed planted. You are to show the life and sometimes, the fruit. But, you should NOT simply hold onto the fruit. You must not hoard the results of your efforts, but share completely all that remains yours to give."

    Prayer: Lord help us remember to be generous with everything

we have, including time and talent.

Beingness Aug.13

   And the Spirit said:

            "You are originally made in the Heavenly Father’s image. Your human personality vibrates as the highest order of physical being on earth. I am human with you, but I am much more than personality. I put in motion an eternal energy and kingdom way. I am that Way."

Prayer: Lord help me to recognize you are the true Path for any life situation.

Your Pace Aug.12

       And the Holy Spirit said:     

            "Because you know Me, you live not so much in worldly time, but already in My eternity. Select peace and a restful attitude in all the activities of any given day. My way leads to peace. Choose the pace of peace."

Prayer: Lord, help me to take a deep breath and remember you in all my dealings with others.

Other-Centered Aug.9

     Holy Spirit reminded me:       

            "The Sermon on the Mount of Matthew 5 needs to overtake the sermon of the shopping mall. Too much consumerism becomes self-centered. You only need to keep what you need and often contribute to what enhances the Kingdom. Pray for your needs, not your wants."

Prayer: Lord remind me to behave today that keeps me other-centered rather than self-motivated.

Mystery Aug.8

 And the Spirit said:

            "One big purpose of technology, whether cell phones, computers, drones, medicine, cloning, electronic gadgets that claim to define life, is to imply you can make life predictable and therefore feel comfortable. Some benefit comes from that. However, the life I give always has the mystery of faith. When you label some instrument like a computer and expect it to solve all problems, you water down faith quality. You approach the temptation to take the mystery out of your faith when relying on a label to be an only solution, and yet, mystery creates an energy that keeps you searching, learning, and pursuing personal growth. Allow mystery----the “I don’t know” of life. You will never know enough about any one thing until you reach heaven’s gate."

Prayer: Lord help me keep the mystery of your creation along with any specific knowledge gained for your kingdom.

Grief Aug.6

          And the Lord said:      

                "To you who seek Me, know that I, the Lord, do pay attention to those who hurt and wait on My will. Be as silent as you can, listen, and wait with your decisions. I will not reject forever. If I seem to you to be some cause of grief, then I respond with compassion according to My abundant loving-kindness. For this reason, catastrophe does not come without some larger purpose. You may not see the whole picture. Any sorrow of My sons and daughters stays only for a season. Cling to faith. Sometimes I have to balance  justice and mercy in the universe. You are not being punished."

Prayer: Lord, I know, when we hurt, we do not fully understand all you plan but I do want to fully lean on your Spirit for guidance.

Patience Aug 3

Holy Spirit Gave this thought:

       

         "Why is your patience so important?  Think about this example. When you die, you will receive a new name, a new song, and a new crown, designed to show all in heaven your experiences in story form. You may get to tell every angel, every individual-being your story throughout eternity, every detail about serving and honoring Me. You will know this in the right perspective then. It would take an eternity of patience to share with every being, especially as you listened to others who shared as well. Think of your time on earth as preparation for that time.  Also, your patience motivates the meek on this earth, and the meek are blessed. You can trust the truly meek."

Prayer: Lord, teach me the right patience to listen to others.

Money Aug 2

     And the Holy Spirit said:

                "When you use your money just for things, you apply it to items that have an end or die. Money and resources by themselves are as temporary as dead grass. But when you move your money and resources toward the Father’s kingdom, toward helping others in My name, the money and resources come alive. The Holy Spirit can use money to breathe life into others you don’t even know about."

Prayer: Lord, teach me every moment how to use my finances and all resources so the Kingdom moves forward. 

The Material world Aug.1

     Holy Spirit said:

                "In all reality, you cannot live beyond the material nor can you in good conscience just live for the material. You must learn to live through the material for something beyond, such as using material prosperity combined with My spiritual prosperity. Behind every material result vibrates a spiritual idea. A simple baking a cake and giving it to an unworthy neighbor can be the result of spiritual caring. Whatsoever is set up in heaven can be assured on earth. Think long upon this."

Prayer: Thank you Lord for reminding us that the spiritual life motivates our true direction.
