When scripture says you should
love the Lord with all your heart, soul, and mind, you must understand each as
a potential strength of the other. The heart stands for emotion and all hidden streams
of personal life. The soul refers to the self, that willful decision-maker, the
part that can give or take. The mind has to do with your perspective and full
intellect that leads to understanding and moral intelligence. Combining them
shows your true essence, your spirit, who you essentially are, like no other. Keep a balance.
Prayer: Dear Lord, help me understand the short and
long-term implication of every part of my being.
