When scripture says
for you to be perfect even as Jesus’s Father in heaven is perfect [Mt.5:47-48],
notice the verses before that deal with love. So, strive for perfection in your
love. Love those that misuse you, those that misunderstand you, love your
enemies. Concentrate on the Son’s love. Through him your love may be perfect
even if your experiences and expressions of that love are not yet perfect. Don’t
wait for a love emotion. Choose My love commitment. Remember, the Christ-like
character you grow is on-going, not just a state of being. You continue a
magnificent work in progress.
