Holy Spirit Taught:
The strongest effort
of giving needs you to give a part of yourself away at every point you can: in
relationships, through time, accumulated resources, your concern and care. When
you learn true spiritual giving and then give, you can pass on any of your
resources to those who need them. Even if people do not merit such gifts, give
anyway to reflect the all-giving Heavenly Father. If you just give out of duty
or habit, then the kingdom is not enhanced. You might give as a worthy
practice, but heavenly Father-giving always has a piece of you in it.
Prayer: Lord, help me give in ways to further your Son’s glory.
