And God's Spirit reminded:
Saying the name
“Jesus”, with respect, can remove worldly obstacles and remind you clearly that He
is always with you. When you call his
name, it does not invoke some special demand for him to come to you from some
other activity. Nothing you do or don’t
do really separates him, only your refusal to pay attention. You do not have to
force his presence with prayer, sacrifice, or behavior. The Holy Spirit
patiently waits to do the work. Just practice God’s reality in your life. Let him
go with you every day, like a constant unseen companion.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank you for your ever-present reality. Help me feel, see,
and act upon your internal urgings.
