Believe
and Pray
There
is not much that indicates we are to wait passively by before the Spirit of God
can move in our lives. We are to reach out in faith and accept what gifts the
Spirit can offer.
“Jesus said to them . . . That’s why I tell
you to have faith that you have already received whatever you pray for, and it
will be yours.”
[Mark
11:22-24, GWT].
“.
. . Our faith will be regarded as the
basis of our approval of God--each of us who believe in the one who brought
Jesus, our Lord, back to life.” [Ro.4:24, GWT].
The
scripture is not some deceptive mind game promoting something that isn’t so.
The promise is the practice of faith turns to a fact of the resurrection and
the fact turns to our emotional well-being and our well-being turns to
character building as prayer is answered.
