Earthly
Calamities
I
can show you a child who is mentally ruined because of a mother’s drug use.
I
know a young man whose intelligence would have sent him far but brutality of war
crushed his mind.
I
know a man who made a fortune but at sixty, a crooked partner wiped him out.
I
know a woman who was forced to an abortionist and then her man left her.
I
know parents who placed their little blind girl in foster care because they
could no longer cope.
Jesus
did not show us how to explain all catastrophes of earth. He did show us how to
bear the thought of them.
“Then Jesus said, Father forgive them. They
don’t know what they are doing.” [Luke 23:34, GWT].
