Heavenly Treasures
“If
then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where
Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God.” [Col.3:1, NKJV].
The Amplified translation interprets the
above as “seeking heavenly treasures.”
Is there anything more precious than
gold? Are there rich treasures in heaven we can seek and find?
Yes, there are because, for example,
genuine peace is golden.
Since the Colossians verse states Jesus
being on the right hand of the Father, heavenly treasures come through him.
There remains richness in:
1)
Specific traits of Jesus, like his kind of love.
2)
Hope for the believer; we belong to heaven.
3)
Joy greater than happiness, an ecstasy beyond
our imagination.
