Misunderstandings Do Hurt
I’m not sure there is any hurt more
significant than being misunderstood. Sometimes it’s our own responsibility
because we have not been clear in our speaking. Sometimes, misunderstandings
happen because others are not trying to hear us.
However, for the Christian believer,
“. . . spiritually prosperous are those who are persecuted for righteousness
sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” [Mt.5:10, AMPBT].
We have to remember that even Jesus was
misunderstood in the beginning. He simply stood firm with the truth and did not
feel He had to answer every miss-directive.
While to be misunderstood still hurts,
our resolve is to remain loyal to Christ and His teachings. The God kind of
loyalty finds its way receiving part of heaven.
