When the expert in Moses’ teachings asked Jesus what he
must do to inherit eternal life [Lk. 10:25], the answer came in verse 27:
“Love the lord your God with all your heart,
with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind. And love
your neighbor as yourself.”
While it is an answer about eternal life, I think it just
may be one of the three stages needed to actually have prayer answered,
especially the most difficult prayer requests.
I think it is a growth pattern as we will look at:
1)
“Love the Lord your God with all…” Lk.10:27
2)
“I’m
giving you a new commandment” Jn.13:34
3)
“Ask anything…” Jn.14:14.
